The Wild Kind was created from years of experience in rescue. Years of loving the dogs, advocating for them, and seeing both the very best… and sometimes the very worst parts of rescue.

We believe rescue should be ethical, transparent, thoughtful, and truly dog-centred and that’s what we aim to be. 

Our mission is simple:

🐾To give dogs a safe place to land - whether in carefully chosen foster homes or our future home-style base - where they can decompress, feel understood, and begin their next chapter.

The Wild Kind exists to do things differently.

We’re doing things properly from the very beginning - building a rescue that is charity registered, transparent, and working with the relevant bodies, including DEFRA, as we develop our home-style base to ensure everything is done to the highest welfare standards.

A rescue built not just on passion — but on experience, integrity, and putting the dogs first, always.

Right now we are laying the foundations: developing our foster network, building our home-style base, and growing a community that believes rescue can be done with both heart and accountability.

So we’re building the rescue we wish always existed.
