The Wild Kind Dog Rescue is run by a small team of big-hearted people who believe dogs deserve patience, kindness, and the chance to start again. Between us we bring the ideas, the organisation, the events, the fundraising, and ensure that every dog that is part of The Wild Kind at any point, is loved and supported.
We’re not a big organisation with fancy offices. Most of the time you’ll find us covered in dog hair, answering messages late at night, planning the next fundraiser, or talking to anyone that will listen about dogs and our mission.
Together we keep things moving, keep things ethical, keep the dogs first - and most importantly, keep believing that every dog deserves their next chapter.
Drea - Founder & Chief Chaos Coordinator
Drea is the founder and driving force behind The Wild Kind Dog Rescue. What started as a deep love for dogs and a determination to do rescue the right way quickly turned into a full-blown mission to create something better - a rescue built on kindness, transparency, and truly putting the dogs first.
Known for big ideas, big plans and occasionally being a little overly ambitious, when she’s not knee deep in dog fur, she is planning the next rescue project or fundraiser, she’s likely answering messages late into the night, thinking up new ways to help dogs… and dragging the rest of the team along for the ride.
The vision might start with Drea… but thankfully there’s a brilliant team alongside her who help turn the ideas into reality.
Lea - Trustee & Chief Sanity Officer
Every rescue needs someone calm, organised, and sensible…
Thankfully for everyone involved, that person is Lea.
As a trustee she helps keep The Wild Kind running properly behind the scenes - making sure we stay compliant, responsible, and on the right side of all the important rules that come with running a rescue.
Tez - Trustee & Head Dogsbody
Our everything man! Rescues need people that just quietly gets stuck in with whatever needs doing - and that person is Tez. From lifting, fixing, driving, building, carrying, or generally being roped into the next task, Tez somehow ends up involved in just about everything.
While the rest of the team are busy with plans, paperwork and fundraising ideas, Tez is usually the one making sure things actually happen in the real world. If something needs moving, mending, collecting or setting up, chances are Tez is already halfway through doing it.
Reliable, practical and always willing to help, he’s a huge part of keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
In short: if something needs doing, Tez is probably already on it.
Amy – Director of Enthusiasm & Fun
Amy is the creative spark behind many of the ideas, events and fundraising plans that keep The Wild Kind moving forward. Outgoing, energetic and full of enthusiasm, she’s usually the one helping turn ambitious rescue ideas into something people can actually get excited about.
Whether it’s planning events, coming up with creative ways to raise support, or backing Drea’s latest “what if we tried this…” moment, Amy brings the positivity and momentum that helps keep things growing.
Her passion for helping dogs is matched only by her ability to rally people around the cause - and she’s always ready with the next idea to bring the community together for the dogs.
Our chief Hype Woman: if there’s a fundraiser, event, or big idea in motion… Amy probably made it happen.
