What is Mylo like?
Mylo’s family abandoned him... to his face.
He had been kept on a chain, relying on neighbours to bring him food. When his family decided to move, they said they did not want him and that he could be taken to a kill shelter.
We will never understand how anybody could do that to a dog. But despite everything he experienced, Mylo remains a happy, loving and good boy.
Mylo’s progress
Mylo is now off the chain, out of the shelter and settling beautifully into his foster home.
Most importantly, he is safe.
He is currently still in Bosnia while he completes the necessary vaccinations and tests ahead of travelling to the UK. Once he arrives in the West Midlands, we will give him time to decompress and complete a thorough assessment before deciding what kind of home will suit him best.
As an adult dog whose life is changing completely, Mylo deserves that time. We will not make assumptions about his needs or rush him into a home before we have properly got to know him.
Follow Mylo’s journey
Thank you to everybody who has already shown Mylo so much love. He may not understand how many people were rooting for him, but he knows that he is safe now.
We will continue sharing his progress as he prepares to travel and begins the next chapter of his life.
Mylo’s family may not have recognised what they had — but we will make sure his future family knows exactly how special he is. 💚🐾
