Meet Rosie

Rosie is a gentle, affectionate lady who is looking for just one thing: someone to love her.

Well… someone to love her and provide unlimited belly rubs.

She has spent a significant part of her life surviving on the streets, overlooked and passed by despite offering everyone her prettiest eyes and the gentlest wag of her tail.

Waiting for someone to notice her... until we did. 

Rosie is now safe and beginning to experience the comfort of structure, routine and regular affection. Even within a rescue environment, she is showing us just how much she thrives when she feels secure and loved.

What she needs now is a foster or forever family who can give her the sense of belonging she has been missing.

What is Rosie like?

Rosie is a loving, gentle and people-focused girl. She likes to remain close to her humans and is rarely far behind, quietly following along so she can be part of whatever is happening.

At any given moment, she may flop onto her back and present her tummy for immediate access. Belly rubs are not simply appreciated in Rosie’s world... they are an essential service.

She is obedient, eager to please and happiest when she knows she has made her people happy. Rosie does not ask for much. She simply wants kindness, affection and the reassurance that she is finally safe.

After spending so long fending for herself, she deserves to discover how it feels to have a comfortable home, a predictable routine and people who will never overlook her again.

Rosie’s ideal home

Rosie is excellent around other dogs, cats and people. She could potentially share her home with suitable resident animals following appropriate introductions.

Although she is super gentle, because we do not have a history of Rosie living with younger children, we are looking for an adult-only home or one with older teenagers. This will give her the calm, predictable environment she needs to settle and feel secure.

Rosie would suit someone who wants a close, affectionate companion. She will thrive with people who enjoy having a gentle shadow nearby and who are happy to provide all the love and tummy rubs she has missed throughout her life.

She is looking for either a committed foster home or a permanent family. Whichever it may be, Rosie needs somewhere safe where she can relax, receive plenty of affection and finally feel that she belongs.

It baffles us that this beautiful girl has received so little interest.

Rosie has spent far too much of her life being passed by. She has so much love to give and asks only that somebody finally chooses her and offers that same love in return.

She does not need anything extraordinary. She needs a safe place to sleep, a reassuring routine, plenty of affection and someone who will look at her and say, “You’re home.”

All potential adopters will complete our application process, including an initial telephone conversation and a home check. An adoption donation will apply and full rescue backup will be provided.
